Showcasing Phoenix Media Productions' stunning visual content was essential. With this in mind, we began mocking up a home page prototype that made full use of their video and image content. Presenting the user with a full-height video background creates a visually impactful first impression that illustrates the quality of Phoenix Media Productions' content and emphasises its mission statement.
With a large amount of visual content, we needed to keep load times as short as possible. We worked in collaboration with Phoenix to optimise their content and produce a homepage that was beautiful and fast.
We created a style guide and logo to represent their brand by taking inspiration from their message and mission statement 'rise from the ashes'. A fiery red is featured heavily throughout the site, in particular, on interactive elements or important conversion points.
A critical requirement of the project was that there needed to be tools in place for community content submission and display. We implemented a custom image submission system that allows Phoenix to moderate it's growing community.
